Tornadoes...

This is one of those "geezus" days, when you just wonder if the world's climate really is screwed up and we're all going to die. WEIRD weather.

At one point, about a dozen tornadoes or what they thought MIGHT be tornadoes, were on the ground just North of our house, and South of our house, while our house had no rain and spots of sun shining through the clouds. At one point, a funnel was spotted about 6 miles North of the house, and someone caught an actual tornado on the ground in the town of Rome, about 30 miles or so NW of us (see below).


In the end, we did get a couple of short, strong thunderstorms, but that was thankfully it. North of us was HAMMERED for hours, though. We dodged a bullet. The photo below was put online by someone who used their cell phone camera to capture the tornado in Rome. No idea how much damage that one did yet though. Two days of sun and whoopie... more storms coming on Monday! Fun!
